"Housing and commuting. We know they're on your mind. Postdocs face enormous competition to get affordable housing, often at the expense of a lengthy commute. The house of cards represents both the impossible climb towards cheap rents and fast commutes and the fragility of the system which could collapse at any moment. In this month's mailer, we share the results of an internal survey on postdoc housing and transportation, and some real-life stories from your fellow postdocs"
The academic year is back !! Good time to remember how hard it is to find affordable housing in the bay area... Please check here our fantastic postdoc mailer from June which has nicely addressed an overview of housing issue through a survey!!!!
Thanks to our Housing and transportation committee for the great jobs !!!!
We are thrilled to present our female-focused issue, in honor of Women's History Month.
February is National Black History Month, and as such, we are devoting our mailer to recognizing the complexities of being a Black postdoc at Stanford - the numerous challenges as well as some serious cause for celebration in light of amazing work done by the Stanford Black Postdoc Association (SBPA) and the accomplishments of our black colleagues.
