ACSSS (Association of Chinese Students and Scholars at Stanford) is a student-run organization found in 1989. Its mission is to broaden the channels of communication between the Stanford Chinese community and various other cultural, academic, and professional communities in the Bay Area.
The ACSSS Postdoc Group is affiliated with the ACSSS. Our goals are to help Chinese postdocs better assimilate into the American culture, foster their professional development, and broaden their career perspectives. Our three main annual events include Career Fair, Summer Social BBQ, and Research Symposium.
Although most of our activities focused on serving the Chinese postdoc community, we do not exclude anyone who are interested in learning about our culture, exploring collaboration and job opportunities at Stanford, in the Bay Area and China. This year, we are proudly sponsored by SURPAS SPIF to organize workshops that aim at improving oral presentation skills for non-native speakers. We enjoy our diversified Stanford postdoc community, and would love to see you at our events.
